I'm finally done with my Spring 2011 semester at the University of Kansas. Next year I'll be a fifth year senior. I cannot wait.
This is actually quite true. I think it'll be a great fifth year. I am doing a directed study with my favorite painting professor. I will have my own studio. I'm Co-President of the lovely NAEA student chapter, Doodle. And I have a scholarship that might be used to travel to Venice, Berlin, and Amsterdam!
I decided I deserve to sit down with a nice Freestate beer and watch Desperate Housewives (my new obsession, however late)!
This weekend is graduation and many people that I care so much about will be walking down the hill - snatching their diplomas and continuing to new and exciting things. My best friend Carolyn is moving back to Manhattan to work, be in the same town as her fiance, and finalize wedding plans for September. My boyfriend, Josh, got a job in Des Moines, Iowa working for the Des Moines Register. I think it is a great opportunity, nevertheless I will miss him greatly. Next week we're going to drive to Des Moines and look at some apartments in the upcoming East Village area. I'm excited to see what the city is like and visit the Des Moines Art Center!
