You Cannot Take Flight With Wood Stapled to Your Feet

Who is genuine?
Nighttime is the worst for loneliness.
Home can be haunting.

Look at the Dry Land and Understand

It's raining under the trees today.

It's raining under the trees today.

Someone I know once told me that "from the fields at the harvest to the sea as the tide goes out...life's best surprises and secrets lie with nature and it's beauties."

Winter doesn't skip a beat

It sure is much different out today than it was yesterday. The trees are covered a bit and so is the ground. Fall left us. Farewell.

But I don't like cats

Ev'ry truly cultured music student knows.
You must learn your scales and your arpeggios.
Bring the music, ringing from your chest and not your nose.
While you sing your scales and your arpeggios.

If you're faithful to your daily practicing.
You will find your progress is encouraging.
Do Mi Sol Mi, Do Mi Sol Mi, Fa La so it goes.
When you do your scales and your arpeggios.

Mi mi fa sol sol fa mi re do do re mi mi re re.
Mi mi fa sol sol fa mi re do do re mi re do do.

Though at first it seems as tho' it doen't show.
Like a tree ability will bloom and grow.
If you're smart, you'll learn by heart what ev'ry artist knows:
You must sing your scales and your arpeggios.

If you're smart, you'll learn by heart what ev'ry artist knows:
You must sing your scales and your arpeggios.

Beyond the riled up party

Right now I could really care less if the lattes spilled all over the table and dripped onto the floor, onto our shoes, and then sunk through the carpet.
Go ahead and rinse my hair with it. It's already tangled enough.

It is wretched looking

It's all pretty easy until the last few days, or weeks.

It seems as if there really is that thing inside that just wants to bust through, completely.

Let's just make peace.

Not grip the latte until combustion.

A Trumpet Played And It was Pretty

It was a night full of family and friends. Music and dancing.
And oh so many holidays.

It becomes odd when relatives are seen so incredibly often in exactly one evening.
As if we must never see anyone else again.
Is that the feeling?
It seemed as though it was.

And holidays. Happy December 1st!

This evening I bought an album, Iron and Wine "The Sea & The Rhythm". I am greatly satisfied by it. These are the times when I simply wish every artist made music the way God intended it to be.  You must celebrate it now. I have the ability to celebrate the little things like music. I know many people that do as well.  But like music there is the art and the conversation. Those three things create such beauty. Like the land, they are old beauties. Here forever. Maturing in likeness, aging in wisdom. Only becoming stronger. If I one day take it, all of it, for granted, please correct me, for I am faulting and falling.

Ta da!

The day was not as I expected. It was rather blustery and, indeed, not amusing to my frigid hands. This early morning gave away my portfolio of portraits.

I listened to children sing songs this evening.

You win some, You loose some

It's generally a good idea to start a post when you have genius thoughts in your mind, but I've decided to skip logics and simply cheat.
